Bob teaches piano, guitar and bass at his home studio in Upton where he lives with his wife Jen, their son Jarrett and their 3 furry friends, Paz, Nyx and Nox. Bob is comfortable teaching all styles of music from Rock to Jazz to Classical. Lessons are fun and often incorporate drums and or singing.
I think of this as a mini band. A group of 2 or 3 kids can work on a song and learn multiple instruments. Guitarists can learn bass, and all can take a turn on the drums and or keyboards.
Bob started running youth bands in the summer of 2008 on a whim. It was such a hit for the kids that they asked to continue during the school year. Since then it has flourished and is an integral part of this program. The bands inspire kids to practice. Music becomes fun and cool as opposed to hard and boring. Bob's bands have performed at venues such as the Hard Rock Cafe, The Natick Center For the Arts, The Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham and his 2 student concerts a year.
Bob helps bands develop original songs as well as teaching songs of the kid's favorite artists. Most of all the bands help to make music fun and exciting. Bands meet at Bob's music studio in Upton.
Groups consist of 4-6 members
